My First London Photography Exhibition (!!!)

June and July brought with them great causes to celebrate - my photographs were featuring in two London exhibitions!

For the first time ever my photographs were being professionally printed and hung on the walls of London venues for anyone to see - in two different exhibitions, in three different venues! Daunting? Yes. But far more than daunting, it was exciting and a form of celebrating my achievements I welcomed with open, gratitude-filled arms.

The first of the exhibitions was with the London Institute of Photography, the photography school in which I completed my professional photography course. The exhibition was held in the heart of Shoreditch’s Brick Lane, and to celebrate I gathered the best of my friends and family and headed to the East London venue for the opening night. The exhibition was wonderful, and featured the work of so many talented photographers I had had the pleasure of meeting across the duration of my course, including Simon Jones and Carlos Franco.

The second of the exhibitions was the Elephant West x Troubadour Trust Summer Exhibition. Taking place first in Elephant West art gallery, before moving onto the Troubadour theatre, this exhibition showcased the work of 22 artists living/working in White City. Both venues have newly opened in White City, and celebrate community and the arts, making them the perfect settings! (Burberry even chose the Troubadour theatre to be the venue of their London Fashion Week SS20 catwalk show!)
